happy new year 2021
Now that Christmas season has come and gone the reason for the season still lingers on because Christ is still the answer in our difficult situations. I am hoping that God will intercede on our behalf as we confront this formidable enemy called COVID-19. So, as we rely on God’s protection and care remember that “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and discipline”. So, start a new discipline that you can be certain will help you to have a safe and happy New Year.

Let II Timothy 1: 7 be your verse of the year. Memorize it and may it give you the courage you need to be thankful to God in all situations.
What would you like to see God do in your life in 2021? How have things that happened in 2020 changed your focus, intensify your priorities, and broaden your resolutions? Where do you need Gods strength in your life right now? And what are you doing to show that you know it so that when you heavenly Father casts his eyes backwards and forwards to see the one who needs His help, He will see your need. This you can be certain of; that is God is still looking for people in whom He can show His strength.
Will you join us in being that person with whom we can walk through the year of 2021.
God Bless you as you step it up in 2021 and have a Happy New Year.

Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary

To our members, friends, and supporters,

On Sunday May 31, 2020 our church celebrates our 30th Anniversary. We are thanking God for 30 years of faithful services in Scarborough. During this time, we have seen many changes and have weathered many storms, and we are still going on. The reason for this is God’s unchangeable commitment to His Church. Jesus said He would establish His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
Our church is a testament to the truthfulness of Jesus’ statement and promise. In spite of the storms we continue to preach the good news of salvation in Christ and Him only.

So, congratulations to our faithful members, friends and supporters all through these years. Thank you for your dedication and support all these years. I know that we are experiencing a world crisis at this time, but the church of Jesus Christ is up to the challenge. The Lord is still in charge and he is still guiding His children along.
So, take courage my friends, we are on a quest that can never fail because the Lord is able to keep that which we have committed to Him until His triumphant return and that return is imminent.

Continue to pray for our church and her leaders and please try to help us get the message out in any way we can.
God bless you.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your family.

A Message of Hope From Pastor Holloway
To our members and friends.
Today the entire world is learning a new language, a new set of habits, a new set of rules and
regulations, a new way of behaviour, and anew set of expectations. Life as we know it is being reshaped.
We will certainly be affected by these new challenges, but the times call us as God’s people to
remember that we are called to rejoice in the Lord always. This is a choice we all face. The enemy wants
us to believe that there is no hope, but hope abounds to God’s people. We are commanded to “trusting
the Lord with all our hearts and to not lean on our own understanding and in all our ways to
acknowledge Him” because He is the One who directs our path.
The Bible teaches us that perfect love casts out fear, so we need to rely on the perfect love of God to
minister to our hearts in times like these. And I am praying that this time of uncertainty will pass as we
believe that Almighty God is still in charge of His world and as He spoke into the darkness on the first
day of creation and spoke the world into being He will look into the darkness that envelops the nations
of our day and speak life and light into our world. So let me encourage you to rejoice in the Lord always
and again I say rejoice. I choose to rejoice because I sere an Almighty God who is still in charge. He is still
all powerful, He is still a very pleasant help in times of need, and He is still sovereign, and He is still our
Father who art in heaven.
So, we must be vigilant.
We must take precautionary measures to safeguard our families, our church and our communities. So, if
you do not feel well or you think you may have been in contact with someone who is not well or if you
are in a vulnerable group such as those 65 and over. Those with compromised immune systems or those
with underlying medical conditions please take special care. It’s best to err on the side of caution. The
corona virus calls us to be vigilant and prayerful. We need to be praying for one another constantly.
Our Prayer.
-
Pray for those affected by the virus in our city, in our province, in our country and our world.
-
Pray for our health care professionals and that our research team will be successful in their efforts to find a definite cure soon.
-
Pray for front line workers and caregivers
-
Pray that men and women will wake up to the reality that God is our only hope and our only help in this crisis and turn to Him
-
Pray for our leaders.
Take precautions. Follow the guidelines given us by the health care professionals. Do not listen to alarmist and do not be one. Exhibit a spirit of thanksgiving in the spirit of humility. It is wonderful when we can show a genuine spirit of gratitude to God for His mercies, His abundance, His protection, His smile of favor and His unending love and His unmerited favor.
Let us keep in touch using the various methods that are available to you.
